The SchlaU Workshop evolved from the Munich SchlaU School, which was founded by Michael Stenger in 2000. He worked to ensure that young refugees between the ages of 16 and 21 were able to exercise their right to education, from initial literacy to school graduation and a successful transition to a career – at a time when there were still no classes at regular schools for this target group.
With its concept, the SchlaU School was awarded, among others, the prize of the jury of the German School Award and the Munich School Award.
